RULES
One million real pets only works if every entry is a real pet. Here's what belongs on the wall, and what happens to a photo between upload and going live.

YES PLEASE
- A clear photo of your own pet — dog, cat, rabbit, horse, hamster, reptile, bird, fish, anything real.
- A photo you took, or one you own the rights to.
- A name and description written by you. Silly is welcome.
- Pets who have passed away — add them and they'll appear in Forever Loved.
NOT ALLOWED
- Photos that aren't of an animal: memes, screenshots, logos, drawings, text, AI-generated images.
- People as the subject of the photo. You can be in the background of your pet's photo, but the pet is the point.
- Anything sexual, violent, gory, or showing an animal in distress, injury or cruelty.
- Photos you don't own, taken from other websites, breeders or social accounts.
- Advertising, sales listings, breeding promotions, links or contact details.
- Hate, harassment, or anything illegal.
HOW A PHOTO IS CHECKED
1. THE PHOTO IS CLEANED UP
Every photo is resized and re-saved on our own servers, which removes camera and location data before anything is stored or shown. The original file is not kept.
2. AN AUTOMATED CHECK RUNS
The photo is checked automatically for the things listed above. Almost every genuine pet photo passes in a second and goes live straight away with its number.
3. ANYTHING UNCERTAIN WAITS FOR A HUMAN
If the check flags something — or can't complete — the photo is held privately and never appears on the wall. No pet number is taken. A person reviews it, and you get an email either way: approved with your number, or declined with the reason.
4. ANYONE CAN REPORT A PET
Every pet page has a quiet REPORT link. Reports go to a person, never to an automatic takedown. If something does break the rules we remove it and tell the owner.
